Watching War on Waste last night and following the segment about people not recycling their mobile phones I think they didn't quite get to the bottom of the story. In my experience some people genuinely don't know what to do with them and have that half knowledge that one shouldn't put them into landfill (red bin). But most hold onto them because of the information that is store on them.That might be addresses one "has to download or write into a notebook or at least destroy" or photos and movies from our loved ones. We never make a real attempt to get these files out of our phones and because they are so small we just collect them in a corner of the house.
