The grant of $12000-00 to farmers will help them to survive, it will be welcome for those in real need. For far too long political Partys have concentrated on promising hand out dollars to win the next election and no real long term planning for for the future. The most valuable commodity is WATER; too many out spoaken vocal groups are opposing water storage or dams for water security for future. We have huge and massive floods its time caputure, and hold a proportation in storage and through tranist pipe lines to send water to where and when it is needed, for crops and livestock., People in citys have to have water to survive , the CITY OF SYDNEY wlth it's population increase, the present storage will not cope. It's time to stop the negative can't do attitude, get up and plann for the future, more water storge is needed.Robert

As they say if you havent got got good health you have got nothing,in the past few days I have felt like nothing , since I had a much need change in treatment thankfully I started to feel better straight away yesterday being mounted on Barney my trusty little stock horse, we mustered the first mob of weaners , today I went through the de-horning and nils ear tagging this afternoon they will be driven down the road to the rye grass, Yes I have turned to corner stil not quite 100% do not be foolish enough to think you can fight the viris with out getting medical help it infest your eyes, prolonged coughing day and night, almost every one has been effected for 3 weeks some five weeks I will come out of it just under three weeks if you are being effected, GET OFF AND SEE YOUR DOCTOR.Robert

I hope not too many friends are suffering the virus that is makeing life miserable here not being able to sleep sitting beside the heater to-night with the little Joey Lucey so off to Urbenville hospital out paitents to morrow morning.
On a brighter note the Secretary of Kyogle R.S.L Sub Branch Jack Mc Donough announced He was successfull in obtaining an official vistit from the Governor of N.S.W The Honorable David Hurley AC DCS (Ret) to open a display of the 1918 battlefi...eld armistice 100 years ago the display being created by Doug ,Pam, and Jason Campbell their dedication and workmanship can only be describbed as outstanding, the invitation only visit will take place in Kyogle on tuesday October 23 2018.
I appreciate very much the touch and go situtation Jack has gone through, as President of the small Urbenville Sub branch I was able to have the former Commander of the Australian Army Lt. General Ken Gillespie AC,DSC,CSM (RET) ACCEPT MY invitation to be guest speaker at our small sub Branch , Congratulations Jack. Robert

Back home again after the Lismore Caravan 4x4 and camping show the number of exhibits were down crowd through put was good, we were pleased to hear the comment from show patrons who have been our guests that they were pleased to meet us once again and were coming back again, many thanks to Dave Schubert and his little Boy Boston who took care of Levuka for Us with out them we would not be able to do our show display over all it was worth the effort.Robert

7mils of rain last night on went the ck55 fertilizer this morning last paddock of winter rye grass will be up out of the ground and on its way this time next week, yes the short bust of rain has made the driving track net work very interesting to-day, , we are just so lucky with the weather we are having on route to and from Toowoomba last wednesday seeing thousands of acres of black soil paddocks ploughed ground up waiting for rain to be planted it,s not looking good for those people. Robert.

User

Showers of rain on the roof last night lets hope it last all day ,at Toowoomba yesterday to farmfest one word to describe the event, Huge thousands of people cars were bumper to bumper all the way into the grounds from the Warreago highway but the land up there was horrible horses in small paddocks on nothing but bare dirt haveing to be fed on bought feed, here we have been very lucky so far.Robert
