Lucy Magann sharing her families story in losing her brother John to suicide last year at last weeks How’z ya Mate event. How’z ya Mate is a men’s health awareness campaign to improve men’s health and to encourage men to seek help when times get tough. The campaign is a partnership between Lifeline Broken Hill Country to Coast and AFL Broken Hill. Last week an event was held to promote health awareness amongst peers. Each local football club sent representatives to participate on the night’s activities which included a 3 point plan that players could take back to their clubs to implement amongst their peers. Now in its second year, How’z ya Mate is proving to be a valuable campaign. Many thanks to AFL Broken Hill for their strong commitment in improving men’s health and mental health wellbeing.
