Lilac City Motor Inn And Steakhouse Restaurant

A warm welcome after a long drive! The woman at the reception could not have been kinder or more helpful; the room was immaculate and comfortable. The location is perfect for either a stay in Goulburn or to break a long trip as it is not far off the freeway, and close to shops and amenities. A lovely breakfast and again warm and welcoming staff in the restaurant. I would highly recommend, and this will definitely be my 'go to' motel on similar trips.

The staff in this motel were all very friendly, which made us very pleasant. Room was exceptionally clean and wifi was very fast. Steak was also very yummy, don't miss it

The rooms were clean enough, however the TV did not work properly (channels were intermittent, had to repeteadly turn it off and on again when the sound cut out) the iron ruined my dress shirt and I spent 40 minutes cleaning it. The room service was unaivalable and the rooms do not have any plates or cutlery. The rooms do have a kettle however you can only quarter fill them as it doesnt fit under the only basin which is seperated from the bathroom. The toilet is too close to the wall which makes ablutions difficult without riding side saddle. Overall I wouldnt stay at the Lilac City Motor Inn unless they go through some major renovations.

The restaurant was terrible. Cooked steak medium rare , asked medium well & when called them over said would take 30mins to cook another steak so i elected to eat part of meal. No discount offered & terrible service. Th staff couldn't give a damn. Rooms , pay for what you get. Would i come back, no purely from the lack of care frpm staff

Smoke from smokers on balcony came into the room through closed (but not airtight) windows. EVERY noise from bathroom could be heard in main room. Tiny drip of conditioner in shower. Breakfast was sub par. Hash browns undercooked and crumbled apart. 1 tablespoon of home brand rice bubbles sent up in bowl. Steak in steakhouse was like chewing leather. (Who doesn't have garlic butter?).

Room smelt like a sewer. Having a shower was more memorable with the smell. Bunk bed pillows had hair all over both the pillows and obviously never changed so hygeine not on their priority list. All reception could say was sorry . Restaurant closed as chef sick, couldn't have a hot breakfast either . Logic would tell you to call in another chef to fill in.
Would never stay at this place again, recommended others not too either.

Room was great. Good location. Affordable price. Second time we've stayed in.

Stayed here for one night on the way from Melbourne to Sydney. Utilised the pet friendly room which was a wonderful convenience for our family. Beautiful modern bathroom, airconditioning was perfect and the bed was incredibly comfortable. A quiet area enabling a great sleep, but still in town.
On top of this - how many accommodation businesses email you afterwards to hope you had a good stay? Great service and business sense.
