I walked to the Lilly Pad from Mount Hay road most days over many weeks. I walked each day to the Lilly pad because it was the right distance for my exercise, because they serve the best coffee in Leura and the people who run it I could talk with. I have moved away from Leura now and the Lilly Pad is sadly missed.

Good food but the staff seemed to be short handed. Maybe a victim of their own success? Dog friendly which is not necessarily a good idea if the owner can't control their dog!

Great food. Breakfast was tasty and flavoursome. Prices very fair. I enjoyed the egg and salmon on sour dough with a twist and my partner enjoyed a very exotic smashed avocado on rye. Environment too is very welcoming and relaxed. Just the place for a slow and relaxing breakfast.

Food menu is small but very tasty. Smoked salmon breakfast was fresh and reasonably priced. All the staples are there like bacon and egg roll and avocado on toast, with a nice Canadian breakfast option if you can't decide on eggs or pancakes. Coffee was a bit weak and grainy for me. Service was excellent, very friendly and happy.

Very tasty food in a charming semi-outdoor setting. The portions were a tad small.

The mango and passionfruit smoothie was a delicious and novel taste sensation. Worth a visit for this.

Stopped in on our way to Katoomba. Beautiful little cafe. Nice and homey feel to it with blankets to wear in the cold. Was about 4* when we were there! Order the Lilly's lamb sausage and was blown away! The baked beans were awesome and lamb sausages were just delicious. My wife order the potato and leek soup and it was nice and hot and warmed us right up. Great cafe and would come again.

Tried this place based on the good reviews here, but was quite disappointed.

Was excited to have hot chocolate on a cold Sunday morning, but was only served slightly warm chocolate. My kids who are pancake lovers didn't even eat half of their pancakes, and when I tried it to check, it was undercooked. Place is a bit run down, and NOT in a shabby chic kind of way.

On a good note, staff are great and very friendly. Servings are big.

Sad to say, our overall experience there was very forgettable. Not a place I would go back to, or recommend to my family and friends.

The gluten free sweet bread was perfect, tasty, fluffy and very nice! A great surprise given what most gluten free products taste like.
