Inspired by the luxe bar experience of up-town Manhattan, a new bar gives celebs and Sydney socialites a concept not made available until now: enter The Carlisle Bar.

Having just launched in December 2013, the split-level bar and nightclub is housed in the Carlisle House building on Kellett Street, sprawling across the block onto Darlinghurst Road.

The Carlisle Bar incorporates three bars and a VIP area – each one designed to meet your desired experience. Walking in to the Workman’s Bar on Kellett Street, guests are greeted with a New York-style lounge, complete with an old- world meets contemporary aesthetic, with sleek touches of the roaring ‘20s. The Workman’s Bar is ideal for after-work drinks, intimate meetings or a stopover before stepping foot into the main nightclub. The nightclub area is an inhibition- free space where patrons celebrate till the wee hours in the extensive bar, private booths for exclusive table service, and elevated VIP area. Past the mezzanine, stairs descend to The VIP Room, complete with a private bar and an exit to Darlinghurst Road – setting the scene for an intimate gathering or chic function. Imported marble bars, an indoor showpiece tree, birdcages and accented white décor are showcased throughout the venue.
