Ll Wine And Dine

Great food nice cocktails!!! I had massaman beef curry and beat my top Melbourne massaman get go place!! I would come back for this dish!!! Had the chance to speak with the restaurant owner/manager and said the beef was cooked for over 12 hours!!! That’s why it melts in your mouth. He also toured us around the underground and told stories about Store 8 history as a brothel and gambling place. 🤔

Service was great & nice vibe. Small menu, but good range of choices. Starters were good, mains not so much. We may have made bad choices, pork belly was very sickly in the sweet sauce and the beef cheek was lacking in flavour. The prawn and scallop dim sims were delicious though, could have just eaten a plate of those!

I had been to LL Wine and Dine a few times and had always thought the food was decent.
HOWEVER, when I went there a few weeks ago, I ordered the kong bao chicken (which I've had at LL wine and dine before) and both my partner and I agreed that the chicken tasted off; sort of like when chicken is defrosted improperly.
When we told this to the maitre d, she defiantly asked me 'what do you mean?!' to which both my partner explained it tasted off etc. She continued to agressively question me about what was wrong with the chicken, and I restated it didn't taste right, and said 'try it if you want, it doesn't taste right'. At this point, the maitre d STUCK HER BARE HANDS into the chicken, chewed on a piece and declared agrssively that it tasted fine to her. She then agressively asked what we wanted her to do about it, and at this point I retreated and said nothing, and she repeated herself over and over again (her: "no, tell me, what do you want me to do", me: "never mind") before I finally just asked her to take it away.
She made no apology, did not offer us a new dish, and then when we left (which was almost immediately after this debacle), she refused to take the chicken off our bill.
This was genuinely the worst service I have ever experienced (and the chicken tasted foul).

Beyond disappointing, this place used to be great but new owners have driven food quality and service into the ground. Sunday yum cha for 4, they insisted they would cater for vegetarians but barely brought 2 dishes (including gai lan leaves that had gone rotten) so one of our party went home hungry. Took well over 2 hours and much of the food was overcooked.

Great food and people who are working in this place! Definitely worth to give it a go!

Complete rip off + terrible "Yum Cha". The service was embarrassingly slow. The serving sizes were minuscule, the food was poor quality, and the dumplings were cold. Despite being all you can eat we were left hungry and did not want to brave ordering more. Steer clear of the sweet potato "chips" and "pork side rib" which looks like something by dog eats - just don't go here at all.

Despicable service. Despicable food. Will never go back.

Delicious, cool and fast. Great staff serving. Great cocktails. (Hidden tiger is amazing dish).
