Congratulations to our AAW4s who beat undefeated Queens Park 5-4 in an action packed semi final at Queens Park! The girls progress directly to the grand final!
At home our AAM5Bs won their elimination final 2-1 in extra time and now playoff next week for a chance at a spot in the grand final!

The council has CLOSED Alexandria Park for the long weekend due to rain. We will be in touch with teams to arrange reschedules.

It's that time when the four year cycle that is the FOOTBALL WORLD CUP has come upon us & Lokomotiv Cove FC would like to announce that in conjunction with our major sponsor the Iron Duke Hotel we will be hosting an event to watch the Socceroos in their first group match of their campaign against France on Saturday the sixteenth of June.
Kick off is 8pm.
... We are using this occasion as our mid season social event.
We invite all club members, partners, family & friends to join us in cheering the boys on.
The game will be on the big screen in the courtyard.
As you know the Iron Duke has a great beer list, top food & plenty of outdoor heating to keep the chill off.
They will also be showing the game inside.
The club will be putting a limited bar tab on for members from 7:30.
We look forward to seeing you all there.

The wind was testing today at Alex oval.
The AA5Bs kicked off the day with a 1-1 draw against Maroubra United Football Club.
Next up the Neckbeards (aka AA9A) shook off the after effects of a team reunion on Saturday to win 3-1 against Maroubra.
... Our AAW4s then continued their season streak of winning by 4 goals with a 5-1 win over South East Eagles FC.
When the wind finally died down, our new AAW2 team took on highly fancied Coogee United FC AA Men and Women - Sundays. Going 2-0 down the girls fought back to 2-2 and the game looked to be headed for a draw only for Coogee to get a 3rd with the last kick of the game. Bad luck ladies, unlucky to not come away with a point.

We're looking for a goalkeeper for our AAW2 team. The season only started on the weekend and we're off to a great start but would love to find a dedicated goalkeeper for the season. The team is based in Alexandria and plays in the Eastern Suburbs Competition. Discounted rego on offer considered for the right person.

... Our season got underway in the searing heat of Moore Park Synthetic against Dunbar Rovers. The heat was not only from the sun but also the field itself that trainers started melting and the water bottles were almost bubbling.
Loko drew first blood through Alex Scott with a neat finish to the goalkeeper's right hand side. Dunbar then drew level with a goal against the run of play to make it 1-1. Alex Scott's delivery from a corner to the back post was met by Ralph Turner to put Loko up 2-1 at the break.
Dunbar started the second half a little better but we worked our way into the game again and could have been 3-1 up on for a penalty saved by the Dunbar GK. We eventually made it 3-1 with a toe poke from Alex Scott to add to his goal and assist (and should have been a hatrick only for the penalty miss). Another missed penalty this time from Justin Rees should have put us out of sight.
Hat's off to the Dunbar GK who made two Penalty saves on the day and I believe he also played O35's last night. That's a proper club man.

Dunbar forfeited the game as they did not have enough players to fulfil the fixture. To say our players were disappointed was an understatement.

For the first time in 2018, Loko have a Over 45 Men's team and they're looking for a few additional players.
They're also allowed a few players between the ages of 40 and 45 for anybody in that age range.
