This place is dead to me! What used to be our special place as was our first date restaurant has turned to shit. After going for dinner consistently for the first year, recommending it to people, having great food and whisky flights we were smitten however more recently it has been terrible. We went for dinner back in January and we were disappointed, the food was lacklustre, greasy, luke warm & crap quality and the service worse. We persevered, enjoyed our favourite Japanese whiskys at the bar and put it own to a bad night for them. Last night was the nail in the coffin, we had booked dinner at the restaurant next door but wanted to nip in for a couple of cocktails and a cheeky nip of Ichiro beforehand (something we had done before several times) we were greeted at the door by a troll of a staff member who advised we couldn't just have drinks we would need to order food, no problem we can grab a couple snacks, no not good enough for her; while I appreciate the $150 we would have spent in the half hour before dinner doesn't mean much to them it did to us. The service and food of the previous visit coupled with the rude, vile attitude of the door troll has just ruined our favourite place in Perth so thank you for that you certainly wont ever get our custom again.
