Last week we made 6 gourmet minted lamb pies with smased garlic chats as a trial. All 6 went in an hour or so and the first 5 told us it was the best pie they've ever eaten.....Blake ate the 6th one. This weekend though we are trying a new flavour, braised beef with red wine gravy and winter vegetables. I reckon it'll even top the minted lamb. Get in quick because they wont last.

Hi Everyone. We are on the hunt for somebody to take on our head barista role. Its a full-time role with immediate start although at this stage its a temporary position while our reigning superstar barista takes a well earned extended break. We need somebody with a substantial amount of experience in the specialty scene having previously performed in a head barista or FOH manager role. Proven ability to handle volume is a must, familiarity with manual lever machines is preferable but not essential. PM for further details.

As an added bonus we've got a special black and white soft serve cone today. Its gluten free, dairy free, vegan ok, raw sugars only and yummy. No colours, the black is created with activated vegetable charcoal...which apparently is also quite good for you.

Our customers are awesome. We've got one regular who comes in a couple of times a day then when he fills his loyalty card, he turns around and pays it forward to whoever is behind him in the que. Another regular brought in these flowers for our barista the other day, just "for being so nice".

AFTER GAME ICE CREAMS - 2 FOR 1 AT LYNCH'S. We love that club sport plays such a big part in our community and lifestyle here in Newcastle. In winter its such a great thing to see kids coming into the cafe for an ice cream after their game in the familiar local club colours from around Newy because it means that this local club sport culture is being passed on and strengthened with every new generation of Novocastrians. So for the remainder of winter we are doing two for the price of one after-game ice cream for all our local budding sports stars.
