We give you the tools to make positive changes to the most important person in your life - you! The human body has an innate ability to heal if given the right environment. It is designed to win, not lose. At Macquarie Natural Health, we use appropriate scientific testing to identify these changes and provide safe and effective professional treatment to help you achieve your optimal health so you can stay happy, healthy and strong.

Liza Twohill is the principal of Macquarie Natural Health and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her patients. Liza has a long association with complementary medicine and is passionate about finding the underlying problem to a patient's health issues, rather than looking for a quick fix.

As a child, Liza's family embarked on a journey using both western medicine and naturopathic medicine to assist her father with a life altering health problem. This gave her an insight into how both medicines can work together to resolve chronic health problems and an appreciation of the importance of a healthy diet and balanced lifestyle in providing the right environment to allow the body to heal.

Liza has a Bachelor of Health Science in Complementary Medicine and Advanced Diploma qualifications in Naturopathy, Herbal Medicine, Homeopathy and Nutrition. She has a passion for learning and regularly attends training and international conferences to extend her knowledge and keep abreast of current trends.

As a nutritionist and naturopath, Liza is among a growing body of health professionals determined to understand the complex web of chronic health problems and work together to bring a more holistic, individualised and self empowering approach to medicine.

Liza has worked in the health sector since 1995 and brings a wealth of knowledge understanding and practicality to her patients. She is known for her determination to get to the bottom of a problem and is clear about her role to empower, educate and facilitate each person through their health journey.

Belinda Anderson, BFscHN

After travelling the world and doing some serious soul searching Belinda did her double degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition and has been in the health field as a nutritionist since 2008. After learning and applying the practices she’s studied in her daily life she was amazed by the changes in her energy levels and overall health. She believes that no matter what your age or state of health there is always room for improvement and nutrition is one of the most important aspects in the journey towards optimal health.

Belinda is passionate about nutritional medicine, which is a holistic approach to the interactions of both nutrition and environment on human health. Nutrients are the building blocks of our physical body. When the body is supplied with the correct balance of foods, vitamins and minerals we remain healthy. All humans are unique in terms of biochemistry, metabolism, anatomy and genetics. Our internal environment differs in gut flora, integrity of the intestinal wall and the immune system. All of these affects our ability to process foods, absorb nutrients and detoxify and expel wastes.

When assessing nutritional status we need to look at external environmental factors such as, exposure to toxicity from heavy metals, fertilisers, pesticides, synthetic chemicals including pharmaceutical and recreational drugs. As well as food additives, flavourings and colourings, or particular foods themselves may lead to sensitivities, allergies and intolerances. Chronic parasitic, fungal, bacterial and viral infections can disturb our internal environment. Poor sleep and psychosocial stresses also affect our ability to cope effectively and impact our health.
Belinda is a mother of three gorgeous boys. She understands the challenges faced when raising a young family and keeping on track with healthy choices.
