Captured on camera!
Industry partners have been sharing insights and advice on their experience of work to help develop future-ready grads at Macquarie. Six HR and Actuarial professionals agreed to be filmed on camera, with the clips forming part of a flipped classroom (online videos) resource for students.
... It's all part of the new Macquarie University Co-op program's first phase of curriculum co-creation. The program offers periods in the classroom and the workplace. It hopes to help students become more engaged in their own learning and allow partners to have a voice in how students are prepared to engage when they enter the workplace.

Into the blue!
Five Macquarie University Psychology students have gained an experience they'll never forget following a month-long placement with the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation in Vietnam.
Blue Dragon is an organisation which works with 1,500 children and teenagers each and every day, rescuing them from crisis and supporting them to rebuild their lives by providing opportunities to flourish.
... Students Eryn Chapman, Estelle Berton, Sabrina Miller, Nicola O'Connor (pictured from right to left) and Callise McMullan (bottom middle) collaborated with staff to design life skill programs for children rescued from human trafficking, helped run a community centre, and facilitated a two-day leadership camp for Blue Dragon youths.
“Interacting with the children at Blue Dragon Children's Foundation inspired me to want to go on to do a clinical masters to eventually work as a child psychologist,” says Callise.
“Specifically, I would like to work with children who have experienced trauma or are dealing with anxiety.”
