Madelaine Ireland Dance Academy opened their doors January 2016.
Madelaine Ireland Dance Academy is the sister school of Karen Ireland Dance Centre, a highly successful school that has been established for over 15 years.

We believe in providing high quality dance training in a welcoming and fun environment. Our aim is to inspire and ignite the dancer within!

We offer classes for students 2. 5yrs and upwards, beginners through to professionals. While we offer fun after school classes for children we also specialise in classical ballet and contemporary coaching for aspiring professional dancers.

Madelaine has taught for over 10 years and also choreographed routines that have been performed at international competitions.
Students coached by Madelaine from Karen Ireland Dance Centre have been accepted on scholarship to major full time schools,
the dance program at QUT, and have also won and placed in major competitions. In April (2016) Madelaine accompanied three students to New York City to perform as finalists in the world renowned, highly prestigious ʻYouth America Grand Prixʼ. Students have also placed and been finalists at the international competition ʻAlana Haines Australasia Awardsʼ, Sydney Eisteddfodʼs McDonalds Scholarship, BPAC, Gold Coast Eisteddfod, to name a few. Students have also successfully auditioned for the Australian Ballet School, Interstate /International Training Program at the Australian Ballet School, New Zealand School of Dance, Queensland Ballet Junior Program, Queensland Ballet Senior Program, and Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School.

Madelaine commenced her dance career at the age of 5, and by 14 she pursued full time training.
Accomplishing various dance styles, tap, national character (Khorobushka syllabus), contemporary, and jazz, Madelaine also studied three ballet syllabi including Ballet Australasia Limited (B. A. L. ), Cecchetti Ballet Australia, and Royal Academy of Dance (R. A. D. ).
Madelaine received high Distinctions in all examinations including her vocational grades with R. A. D. up to Advanced 2.
Madelaine studied her full time training with Prudence Bowen and Marie Walton-Mahon. During the years Madelaine has also had the honour to train with world renowned professional artists, including a personal tour through the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet. Madelaine herself (having a student compete at Genee in Wellington, NZ in 2012) competed in the international R. A. D. competition ʻGeneeʼ in Canada in 2008, Alana Haines Australasia Awards in 2007, was a finalist in the R. A. D. scholarships, as well as having great success at numerous local eisteddfods. Madelaine performed in the B. A. L. Intermediate and Advanced examination DVDʼs, was accepted to the Royal Ballet Schoolʼs Summer Intensive Program, and successfully auditioned for Tokyo Disneyland.
