Magnolia'S Art Class

Magnolia's is BACK! And SO IS SPRING! To welcome the change of season, we're turning down the lights and bringing out the stars and moon for all to see and sketch! We'll be providing sparkling cosmic props and glitter to add to sketches too!
We'll ALSO be celebrating the life of, and dedicating this month's Mag's Playlist to the legendary goddess of soul and strength - Aretha Franklin <3
Now a little bit about us...Magnolia's is a new and exciting art drawing class located i...n the heart of Sydney's Innerwest. After 6pm the pastel milkshake haven that is ‘Daisy’s Milk Bar' will bloom into a lush, velvet draped speakeasy named ‘Magnolia’s’ where art, nudity and jaffles are combined.
Magnolia’s is a unique art class for anyone who identifies as a woman to share a sacred experience where not only the art model, but everyone is invited to strip off, let go, and embrace their bodies! Magnolia’s Art Class is a judgment free, safe space that encourages women to utilize art and nudity in order to create an empowering bonding experience, where everyone can leave feeling a sense of confidence, inspiration and more self love than ever before.
The focus will be on figure drawing, no drawing experience is necessary as our teacher Kate will take you through basic techniques and exercises! There will be a model to lead the evening, however everyone is beautiful in their own way and we embrace diversity, so we encourage anyone to step up and strike a pose for the artists to draw in the later part of the class! A range of food, milkshakes and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase on the evening.
WHAT TO BRING: - Dressing Gown (if you are not comfortable with being completely nude you are welcome to bring anything you feel most comfortable in to wear instead!) - Sketch book & Drawing/Painting tools of choice - An open, accepting, and positive attitude.

Every month we have a fun little theme for each class to give your drawings a little twist! This month our theme is WINTER WONDERLAND! We’ll have sparkly snow flake props and we encourage you to bring your wooly socks, scarves, beanies and faux furs along!
