Maitland Tafe Computing & Information Technology

Maitland TAFE Information Technology Department has state of the art ICT Facilities. In addition to our Certificate I, III, IV and Diploma Courses we offer additional Industry recognised courses from Cisco and Microsoft.

For people experienced with using a computer at a basic level eg school leavers, we have ICT30115 Certificate 3 in Information, Digital Media and Technology. This course covers hardware, software(Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access to an advanced level), web development, client support, OH& S. It is a dual qualification as not only will successful participants obtain a TAFE certificate but they will also receive the CISCO IT Essentials qualification. This course is timetabled on 3 full days a week.

For people that already have a Certificate 3 in Information Technology then course ICT40115 – Information Technology Certificate IV would be suitable. This new course covers building a server, installing computer networks, programming mobile devices, producing dynamic web pages and introductory object-oriented language programming. This course will be over 4 full days a week over 18 weeks.

For people after a higher level then course ICT50115 Information Technology Diploma may be of interest. This course covers advanced networking, using virtual machines, dynamic web pages and project management. This course runs for 4 days a week over 18 weeks.
