Very good with animals treated as if they were their own

I have been taking my dog here to see them for 11 and half years, Staff are excellent and i love all the dr's here Richard Chris and Jackie have been taking care of my boy for years and i would highly recommend them to anyone.

We've been bringing our dogs here for the last twenty-or-so-years. Richard, Jackie and Chris are exceptional and so are the nurses. The girls have, for the most part, been employed by Richard for over 15 years. It speaks volumes about the practice and how it is run. They all go out of their way to help and although one person reviewed the place as old and unkept (by the way, it's unkempt not unkept), I would ask this question; do you want your pet to be treated and cared for in a superlative manner or would you rather have a slick, over-charging, cold veterinary hospital? I know which I would rather have.

Recently, my German Shepherd developed gastric torsion (bloat) and needed emergency surgery. The surgery lasted over three hours and no-one went home until it was over. Richard even went back to the surgery in the middle of the night to check on my dog. Thanks to the care and dedication of all in the practice, Axel is well again, so, if you think I am biased, I certainly am.

I highly recommend you ignore the decor and look a bit further. You will be glad you did.

Great people work here...highy recommended

This place is as it looks, it's old, decrepit and badly unkept.
The tiny waiting room smells extremely bad, its like there are 100 cats and dogs living in there each night.

I have a large house trained dog and even I had trouble breathing inside their room for the 5 minutes I could physically stand being there.

Also If your dog hates cats and you don't want too stress your pet out more than it already is, then don't bother going there as well, as they have cats in a large cage in a tiny waiting room.

We have been using Mamre Rd Vets for many years and highly recommend them. The staff are caring and compassionate and our animals get great care at every visit. Our pets are a huge part of our family and it's nice to take them to a vet that looks after them in the same way.

We have taken our dogs there for over 20 years and they are so caring of them and us ! Bless them and everything they do :)
