I arrived on the 15th of october at 8.30 pm in Manly Hospital and was taken in to see a Dr straight away no wait what so ever.
It was urgent as a had a haemorrhage in my legt eye with a tear in the retina which was a very scary experience.
I needed laser surgery and they organised that in RNS Hospital as they dont have the equipment in Manly for this.
My husband drove me there and the eye Dr was waiting for me there o rganised by the Manly team.
Nothing but positive for the Drs and staff at Manly and RNS thank you for all your efforts and great work! Coby Banjac

Hospital is good, staff is good too but Security guards are rude, found one older Security guards Ken sleeping all night during his shift in chest clinic, no one does anything about it.... What type of Security is this?????

A VERY mixed bag of staff here. Waiting times can be mental for a basic check, even with next to no one waiting in triage. I understand it's a stressful job generally, but with no patients, what is actually happening at this place? Underfunding? Doesn't account for a lot of what goes on here.

I've seen first hand many times, A&E staff/security who are supposed to be watching potentially mentally ill patients waiting for assessment under the Mental Health Act, let these folk walk out - it's basically a revolving door so to speak, with almost no supervision/security where it's actually needed. Consequently the untreated mentally ill folk - often violent, due to no fault of their own usually, are untreated on the streets with the police having to search for them - often at nearby North Head, renowned for suicides.

Story; when I was working there a few years back for another agency, I saw a security guard using a broom to beat the bejesus out of a pigeon, which had flown inside one of the rooms. Weird and wild.

Also, recently convicted Shyam Acharya a.k.a Sarang Chitale worked here. This regular guy used fraudulent documents to fake being a doctor, so if you've been treated by him, PANIC.

A handy hospital to have on the doorstep. It has potentially saved my life and my partners in recent times.

Well.Where to start.Easy.I have had so many experiences there. One time my thumb was re attached after I detached it with a brand new chain saw!My thumb now works still after 20 years.Next I had a nasty piece of steel in my eye and olly removed it beautifully.Next was seizure time where I was taken care of even late in the night under duress.Though cold in the night nurse and doctors and cleaners and bed changes persist. This is almost beyond care in human terms.Nurses asking if you need tea or your bread toasted how you like well in my books heroic.Night goggles would be helpful to all especially night nurses!Playihg with the various machines and tubes. The fragility of life.I felt the love and compassion more than anytime in my life.I hate the idea these angels are not duly compensated for there undying comittments.I want to single out a few but that may be unfair as it is I a team whom I have undying respect. As to the future of the site I will work on a solution with my colleagues in an effort to make all happy as in aged care/rehab or anything rather than more over development of manly CITY.which I oppose.I am coming up to say hello with my recovered self soon girls and boys to thank you in person.Yours in faith.

Came to Manly hospital with a persistent pain in my hip. The nurses and the doctors work with their utmost best to cater for everyone on a very busy day. They were very caring to all patients and despite some individuals were testing their patience they were calm and approach each situation with professionalism....... Hats off to you all at Manly Hospital....
