By far one of the worst pastas I have ever had in my life. Who puts raw onion into a Salmon pasta? The salmon was over cooked in clumps and was not even mixed into the sauce. For +$30 you want to be dishing out a lot better food than this. Also got a pizza and was very average. On the plus side, nice staff and very cozy in front of the log fire.

A bit pricey for pizza in my opinion but the food was good, and the staff are friendly.

Cosy place with tasty food, but our meals took an hour and 10 minutes to come out.

In the snow season each year we visit Mario's. It does get busy as the restaurant is larger than your average place. Pizzas are $27-30 which is pretty standard these days and the ones we had were a good size, decent amount of toppings not just a bit here and there. The woodfired crust was as expected, crunchy and chewy on the inside. Wait time was about 25 minutes for 2 pizza's. Unpitted olives and a better made pizza sauce would of earned the pizzas a better score.

Service was very friendly, pizzas tasted good, didn't wait to long but was disappointed when we have to cancel our salads as they didn't arrive with the pizzas and we were almost finished and they still hadn't arrived.
The restaurant was packed!!!! So busy

The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We went on a very busy day without reservations. The atmosphere is very comfortable at Mario's, the real wood fireplace will be sure to warm you right up. Food was very good and just what I needed after a long day on the slopes

Very busy place on a Saturday night and staff were accommodating despite us not making a reservation. There was a long wait for food, but good when it arrived. Huge portions - we ordered two mains between three ravishing adults. Heard others complaining about the wait but I felt the staff were all trying their best.

3 of us visited Mario's Mineshaft on Sunday at about 6pm.
We were greeted by 5 waitresses at the counter all staring at us slack jawed as we entered and left for about 1 minute whilst they continued to stare before Mario placed down the newspaper he was reading and brought us to a table.
The atmosphere was okay but nothing special and looked quite dishevelled from the outside, this should have been our warning.
It took some time for the waitresses to serve us, despite been one of three sets of customers at the time, as they continued their conversation about wearing aprons as capes.
We order 1 main each and 1 garlic bread entree between us. The meal only took about 20 minutes but the entree never met the table. When questioned the staff seemed quite surprised to this but it remained on the bill till it was requested to be removed.
Overall I would avoid eating here again, whilst the food was acceptable the service was terrible given the small amount of customers especially to the ratio of waitresses, I would hate to see it on a busy night.

Bustling Italian place, serves fairly standard pizza, pasta, calzones. Nothing fancy but done well. Dishes are a bit pricey ($30 a main) but very large servings so you won't be going hungry. This is one of the few places in town where you can walk in and get a table reasonably quickly during snow season.
