Me and my husband brought our little Jenny for check up. The staffs are so nice and they cared for their patients treating them as one of their loved ones. We waited long for the nurse to attend my daughter’s condition but it was a pleasant experience to be treated by their medical staffs.

Very good facilities at Mater Hospital. Excellent staff, from registration to surgery to recovery.
I don't give 5 stars easily but they deserve it. Well done.

My obstetrician pulled out my placenta, told me I wasn't bleeding, and left (she didn't even make it to my delivery despite having a whole day of notice). I ended up losing 300ml in one big gush. The midwives in the postnatal ward saved my life.

The staff there are always nice and helpful, if you're not in a lot of pain then it's like a five star hotel experience. (I have a 2 YO at home so my 4 day stay there felt like a vacation - aside from the catheter which I could do without...)

The meal ordering system is also superb - you get to choose what you want and when you want it. However, don't expect Michelin star cuisine or anything, the food is nothing like what it looks like on their website! Nevertheless, it is still better than RPA (where I had stayed a few times) and St Vincent's (where my mum had stayed a few years ago) because you get to choose a large variety of different types of food, which is good for your health if you need to be in a hospital in the first place. I was having 5-6 different types of veggies and 2 types of meat, plus a fruit salad for each meal, but you'll probably need a few trial and errors before you're able to "rig the system". Also don't order the garden salad, I saw a dead bug on the glad wrap and I thought, oh well, it's not touching the food so I might just eat it, then a live green bug jumped out (looked like a tick) and I was like, ok that's disgusting, but I can still eat it, then 5 mins later another tick crawled out, and I was like that's it, into the bin...

wonderful staff, clean beautiful hospital. excellent surgical teams.lovely food options at times that suit you. felt well cared for here.
my only complaint 4 patients in a tiny room all post op high care is too hectic.

How does this place get high scores ?! Bad service, tiny rooms compared to other private hospitals in the area, and charge above insurance !!! Worst maternity ever !! How did they ever win a HESTA award for nursing ? That's if you can find one. Who cares about the fancy shower products ? Would rather better care .

Very high quality facilities and friendly service.

This hospital went above and beyond my expectations I went in for surgery two weeks ago the whole process was flawless the nurses the staff the doctors and my surgeon were all pleasant to deal with the cleanliness of the hospital is impeccable, I was surprised by the food another great feature. When you call the buzzer you get a nurse within 1-2 min maximum. It was warm at night, I felt safe, I am a Christian I was offered Holy Communion on Sunday by Pastoral Care, I was informed of my options and I never felt out of place. The concienrge upon entrance checked me in and in 5 minutes I was in my bed. My wife parked out the front to pick me up and went into the pharmacy to sort out my return to home plan with my medicine and the nurses took me down in a wheelchair and passed me onto concierge. The surgery was a breeze I felt comfortable after even though I was in severe pain. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone thinking of coming for any kind of medical condition. God Bless.

Most of the staffs are lovely and friendly while my wife and baby stayed there.

Easy to find. But mix up with parking area.

The mater hospital is really one of those rare places where you feel at ease, knowing that your love ones are in good care. The staff are always helpful. The carpark is really awesome at $4 per park that's cheap for a hospital, been to some where they charge up to $50.

One of the worst hospitals I have stayed in. Some staff were completely rude and some would do anything for you. My surgeon was great and my anesthesia.
I am in private health and still payed a total of $15.000 for surgery (out of pocket). I was only a day surgery with overnight stay and can not wait to get out.
I requested a week ago for private room and ended up in shared. Even though I was told it should be fine. Even though I asked 3 different nurses why. Not one got back to me.
My operation was 7am and out at 11.
My lunch at 12 was 1 sandwich with soup. Yeah fair enough. My dinner at 530pm was 1 sandwich and soup awesome. Told a nurse that i am still hungry and not on a diet I only weight 67kg she was very helpful but could only find a cracker and cheese and some biscuits for a private hospital I expected better. Will be complaining to nib on how much they cost and what little service you get. And how disappointed I am.
