Mavericks On The Bay

Entrée ribs were dry. They had run out of the chicken roulade and I had to get a ribeye steak instead. Was beautifully cooked but the meat itself was tasteless. Best part of the meal was the calamari on the entree it was wonderful but thats all.

Lovely spot overlooking the marina but had been here a couple of years ago it was great had same meal which was a seafood platter. Very disappointing the lobster was very dry oysters were a disappointment and the salmon was very overcooked not satisfied at all !!!

Not even 1 star. Turned up at 7pm on a Wednesday to be told that there kitchen was closed and that they were not seating any more customers even though there was maybe 15 in the restaurant. Ive been looking forward to going to that restaurant for some time, although after this we will not be returning. Management needs a kick up the bum. This is no way to run a business.

A great place for a drink and watch the people milling around the marina. Situated on the waterfront with a reasonable menu, however portions could be better for the price. Cocktails are incredibly expensive. An upmarket bar.

horrible service and terrible food. Doesn't even deserve one star. Don't order the chips with truffles because it's a complete lie.

The nice ambience and view of the boats made us pick this place as opposed to all the other places on the wharf for fish and chips.
Bad choice. Although the staff was pleasant, we waited 40min for a standard fish and chips meal, which is a long time if you're one of only about 6 patrons.
So after having waited for ages I end up with over-battered, greasy, under-browned fish, ultra garlic prawns and a weird tasting aioli. Disappointed.

Don't expect any great customer service, a little too much unwarranted attitude. Also, don't order anything with 'truffle oil' in it. They'll mark up the price by 50% and then not add it in. When you question them about it they'll tell you 'that it's only been lightly tossed or lightly sprinkled'.

Way too overpriced for sub-par bar food.

Good views, great service, good staff, good drinks, food needs a little work.
Chips at the bottom of the fisherman's basket was just potato, it didn't feel like chips. Just soft mushy thick bars. Nothing crispy. Fish was good.
Salt and pepper quid hands down best!
Best thing about the Mavericks Chicken Wings is the cheese sauce. The batter was bland and flavourless. At least the onion ring was crispy
