Maxi-Jazz Dance Studio

Our passion is to provide a professional and family friendly service, with quality lessons that ensure our students and families are receiving the best dance experience and education to encourage their passion and love of dance.

Maxi-Jazz’s Owner’s & Principals, Mrs Maxine Johnson and Mrs Ylanda Robinson are both mothers and understand how important it is for students of all ages to be surrounded by positive and caring role models and have a fun, positive and encouraging dance environment. We also know how expensive sports can be, so we provide professional and fun lessons at a very competitive price, and all our students are able to participate in our annual concert at the end of the year.

At Maxi-Jazz we offer a wide variety of styles at 2 different locations; Wallsend and Edgeworth. We also cater for students who don’t want concerts, costumes or any commitments with our casual classes, just fun and fitness with friends.

Our styles include Funky and Modern Jazz, JFH (fusion of Jazz, Funk and Hip Hop), Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, CheerDance, Hip Hop, Burlesque, DanceFit, Acro, Tech n Flex and Tiny Tumblers, as well as offering private lessons for Ballroom competitions and our most popular, Bridal Lessons.

With our wide variety of styles on offer, we cater for students of 2 years of age to adults both male and female with beginner to advanced classes.

Everyone dances for different reasons and no matter what styles you learn or how old you are, it always has a huge impact in your life. It is a great way to meet new friends and learn a new skill for life, build self esteem and confidence and helps you to express yourself creatively, co-ordination and it keeps you fit and energized.

We pride ourselves on being a very informative, organised and a family orientated studio. Throughout the year, students, parents and /or guardians will receive information and updates via email, SMS, newsletters and flyers in class, as well as regular updates on facebook and via our website. To make sure that you never miss out on a reminder or important information, please like our facebook page ‘Maxi-Jazz Dance Studio’, we also have a private group for our current Maxi-Jazz students ‘Maxi-Jazz Dance Studio’ where anything in regards to 2016 can be discussed.
