Private Lessons:
You might be a little nervous about joining a class first up, or just want to go at your own pace, maybe you would like to introduce dance into your weight reduction program and increase your fitness level. Private lessons are ideal for the couples that would like that special time learning to dance together, also available for the single (individual) student that would like to develop there dancing and have one on one coaching.
Private lessons are a great cost effective solution for those wishing to dance where you are able to learn your chosen style of dances or even work on improving that styling, musicality or technique to make you shine when out on the floor dancing whether you are the social, competition or the starting out dancer, with all couples and individuals catered for throughout the Latin, Ballroom and New Vogue styles. $65 per 55min
Bridal Waltz
Your first dance together as Husband and Wife is a special moment on your Wedding Day.
We at Maxi Jazz Dance Studio would like to help make your Bridal Dance a very special moment.
We offer you an individual and professionally choreographed routine that will impress your guests.
Lessons are available for the Bride and Groom or Group lessons for the Bridal party. $65 per 55min

Tuesday Night: $10 (training) $15 (Advanced Technique) 2 for $20

6-7pm – Advanced technique class. ( DON’T MISS OUT! ! ! ! The only one in Newcastle)

7-9pm – Open training night for all couples wishing to practice their dancing with the advantage of having a professional coach on hand. (3 Styles over 2hrs Non Stop Music).

Wednesday Night:

Studio One: $15 per class or 2 for $25

7-8pm – Adult New Start – a great fun class for students wishing to learn the basics of dance, increase fitness levels, enjoying dancing to all styles of music, this class is great for those that are wanting socializing dancing, or for that occasion coming up (Wedding, Ball, Function).

Modern Jive, Slow Rhythm

Studio One: $15 per class or 2 for $25

8-9pm – New Start Intermediate – a continuation of the new start beginners, where you will add styling to the basics, increase your choreography and learn more dance styles.

Jive, Slow Rhythm
Rumba, Quickstep

Studio Two: $15 per class or 2 for $25

7-8pm – Adult Intermediate Latin – this class is for the more experienced dancer, this class is fun and challenging at the same time giving you great choreography, styling and improving your basic technique.

Cha Cha, Jive
Rumba, Samba

Studio Two: $15 per class or 2 for $25

8-9pm – Adult Intermediate Ballroom – this class is for the more experienced dancer, this class is fun and challenging at the same time giving you great choreography, styling and improving your basic technique.

Waltz, Foxtrot
Tango, Quickstep

Studio One: Additional $5 when combined with another class.

9- 9: 30pm – Adult New Vogue – this class is for all levels of dancer, if you are wanting to learn a sequence dance this is the style for you, this class will break down the different dances and rhythms giving you a great understanding of the style and enjoyment of dancing to different styles of music.

Our Ballroom and Latin Staff are Friendly, Qualified and capable instructors to cater for your requirements, where you may ask for either gender instructor for your Private Tuition. All instructors are always keeping up to date with dance development and continuing training and participating in Exam Training Sessions.


Maxi Jazz Ballroom and Latin also has its own retail store at the studio where you can purchase your Ballroom and Latin shoes, practice dance wear and other dance supplies for both the male and female dancer. You can also purchase gift certificates or Loyalty Casual Card allows you to pay for 4 lessons and get your 5th lesson for free for only $60.
