Mecca

Not as good as Mecca of Alexandria. Coffee just did not taste as good. Still got some nice vanilla and white choc notes come through. Service close to non existent, not friendly nor attentive. Extra shot small coffee was above the average price also. Seating is just on busy street outside

Everyone raves about this place and being a coffee snob I had to give it a go. The coffee was so-so, it was very bitter and not nearly as good as many I have had. The pastries were quite good. Service was also a bit slow, even though it was not too busy when I had gone.

Food was good and not your typical offering. Coffee was nice too. :) a nice place to start your day. :)

Hands down best coffee in Sydney. And although the menu isn't big each dish is made to perfection. Friendly staff. There's some seating and outdoors but undercover. They do have heaters.
Update: I loved their avo on toast but they recently changed it. While its still nice, I really miss the original recipe with chilli oil etc. :(

Not called Mecca for no reason. Sensational beans and greeted with super smiles. Was rather amused to be charged 50c to sit down with my takeaway coffee though 🙂🙃

Great coffee and croissants. Pleasant to seat outside and take a break from the rush. Friendly service.

Great coffee period. Possibly the best in Sydney. You need to visit Mecca at least once, preferably more than once! Paul and his staff will look after you.

Lovely coffee. 5 stars. Unfortunately it stops there. Ordered a coffee this morning and paid via card which incurred a 25cent fee for transactions under $10. I totally understand this! I also wanted to dine in with my coffee where I was informed it was extra for this service. I understand this as well. Cashier informed that I needed to pay the difference. As a result of not having cash on me (my fault) I informed the cashier that I needed to order another two take aways coffees once I've finished my coffee so would it be ok to pay the extra for the dine in service when I order these. This would prevent me from being charged the 25cent transaction fee again! Thought this would not be an issue as honestly how much was the extra charge going to be? $1 perhaps?? Cashiers response in an abrupt tone was, "we don't run a tab here". Seriously Management!!! For the sake of a dollar and the risk of losing a customer is this policy really necessary. For a business owner like myself for over 25 years this customer service is truly poor! Wish you guys all the very best in the future.

Everything here was so tasty. Alittle pricey . Their salted caramel tart sets the standard of how it should be done. So so delicious.

Great coffee. Reliable and popular.

This place would be great if the people there weren't quite so condescending. Got a bag of coffee and asked what grind for a filter, wow, thought I had offended everyone behind the counter with my lack of personal coffee grind knowledge. Explained what it was for, still, how dare I not know. Kind of figured a good coffee place that sells coffee beans would have some clue as to how to prepare it for their customers, but I guess I am just a wannabe cool vegan neck tattooed coffee hipster, drinking their nice single origin coffee, how dare I!

Went there once during my one week stay! The single origin coffee is superb and I had ordered one coconut+ chocolate brownie too, it's the best companion with my latte and my boy friend's fat white :)
