Medowie Cricket Club

Welcome to Medowie Cricket Club

We are a family oriented club operating out of Medowie, New South Wales. We field Junior and Senior teams under the Newcastle Junior Cricket Association and the Newcastle City And Suburban Cricket Association. We cater for all ages and abilities.

We are fortunate to have a Turf pitch at Ferodale Oval, 3 Astro pitches located at Yulong Oval and Boyd Ovals, and a specialised Under 10 specification pitch at Kindlebark Oval. We expect to have a set of brand new practice nets at Ferodale in time for the coming season.

We make it easy for new players to join our club. The junior teams are provided with equipment by the club, players can just "show up and play" without up front expense. We cater for players that can only play partial season due to relocation or other requirements.

The club places high priority on providing a cricket career for its junior players, and for the older players actively supports them in transitioning to Senior teams as their skills grow.

Team registration is typically in August of every year. The playing season runs from October to March, weather permitting. Games alternate between Medowie and Newcastle. Teams conduct weekly practices, which are arranged to suit parents and players.
