This is a bit of a personal post today, in that I’m sharing a part of my life story with you all, as it is my birthday tomorrow and it is a time of year that I become more philosophical, reflective, enthusiastic and extremely grateful. Ten years ago life as I knew it changed completely and forever, literally over night and on my birthday. Within 36 hours of feeli...ng ill, I was place on life support and stayed there for almost two weeks. I had contracted what’s known as a Superbug, which is a deadly antibiotic resistant infection. I had the bug with flesh eating bacteria also. I was a healthy fit 32yr old that had barely been to the doctors or even taken antibiotics. And in a blink of an eye I was in the biggest fight for my life! After coma I awoke to a long journey of recovery and ten years on, I still have daily struggles because of it. But as I get older and more introspective of life and all of its wonderments, I have so much more to be grateful and happy for. Even though there’s been massive obstacles to get over in life, some due to illness, some due to stupidity and some due to other people. I find that these trials can either make or break you, literally and figuratively. As I look back on those times I look up and realise that I am living my dream, I opened my own business!!! With a lot of help from the people I love. But I did and it’s a year on Monday that I started on the most adventurous chapter of my life. I’ve met you all and have loved every minute of it, if it wasn’t for all your support I wouldn’t of made it. So my deepest thanks to every one of you. 😘😘😘 So.....remember to wake up to a job that is fulfilling, that your relationships aren’t toxic, have conversations that matter, don’t compare yourself to others, always live with empathy, don’t waste time hating parts or all of yourself, hug as often as possible, always always laugh, make sure that you have something that makes you feel alive every single day and that you give and receive endless love from those you have in your life. For tomorrow really isn’t promised to any one of us, so live your best possible life and enjoy every minute. Lots of love and hugs Mel 😀😀😀
