Okay, so this is why I’ve been such a stressed out crazy person over the last few months. This here is 311kg of chocolate, 2593 chocolate blocks, in preparation for Christmas. It all makes sense now-the tennis elbow in both arms, the anemia and the poor mental health 😓 Please don’t let my blood sweat and tears be for nothing-see you when doors re-open this week! I am also reaching MAX capacity for corporate Christmas orders so place your orders by end of week to ensure dispatch happens with enough time for festive joy!

Our Crack Koalas have had a revamp, now to permanently include white, milk and dark chocolate with lemon myrtle, Tasman sea salt and wattleseed caramels! No more guessing the flavours in these bad boys. Perfectly Australiana!

Tomorrow the 26th of October is the last day of trade for our little store until the 13th of November!! So make sure you get your last minute chocolate needs while you can-otherwise our online shop will be business as usual, and any pick ups will be by appointment only! We’ll be back with tons of energy, rejuvenated and stocked to the ceiling with Christmas goodies for the festive season. We’ll be open until 5pm tomorrow!

As many of you may know, the past four months have been a big ride for me. Since the beginning of the year, I’ve been so lucky to have a growing business, one that has grown beyond anything I thought possible. Triggered by the passing of my dog, through to the sh*t storm with the space and the constant day-to-day struggle to keep up with admin, production, logistics, business development and a complete rebrand as a one woman army—my physical health and more importantly my men...tal health have taken an absolute beating. To the point that I have felt like a lesser version of myself, and one whose skin I am not currently comfortable in. I told myself at the very beginning that if it ever got to be too much that I would step back and reassess, hopefully with clearer eyes and for that reason I need to stay true to myself and my journey. It has reached a point for me where my emotional cup is overflowing and I’m not able to function as I otherwise would be able to; and as a result my capacity as a business owner has been limited. It’s because of this that I have decided to close the shop doors to passing trade from the 26th of October until the 13th of November to take some time to figure out my next move and decide where to take the business next. All standing orders will of course be honoured and online purchases can still be mailed and collected from store by pre-arranged appointment only. Look forward to seeing you all just before Christmas, and at Cake Bake Sweets Show with new products, refreshed and re-invigorated for the Season of Silly! 🎅

So it’s been almost a year of me saying “I’m going to put together a signature range of bonbons so they stop changing all the time, so I can finally make a flavor card and people can actually understand what we’re all about and what they’re eating”. Ruby has landed in St Leonards! Available from Tuesday. If you haven’t heard, it’s a new type of couverture with a natural pink colour and fruity berry flavour which is supposedly from the unfermented cocoa beans (usually chocolate is made by fermenting the beans which turns it that classic brown colour and gives it the super cocoa-y flavour that we are all so familiar with)! There have been lots of things said about Ruby, some good and some bad. We figure the best way to make a decision is to try it out for yourself! We’ll be running this as a limited edition over Spring and Summer (or while stocks last) so make sure you snap yours up before the leaves fall!

Every single order that we send out, whether it be online or custom, is made by two hands in this small space. Up until last month I was running around like a headless chicken doing retail and production but many of you would now have met Lisa who has come on board as my retail, packing and morale assistant! Even though packaging is one of my favourite things to do, it means (in theory) that I’ll have more time to work on new and exciting products. But for the moment I’m playing a bit of catch up so apologies for delays in emails and other enquiries! It’s been a very super hectic crazy upside down period and it’s only going to get crazier in the lead up to Christmas!! So get your orders in early folks to avoid disappointment!
