Merool On The Murray

Great caravan park. Located only 4k from Echuca on the banks of the river, it is mainly cabins but has about 20 full service powered sites, good amenities, pool, BBQ, games room and wifi. Lots for children including a jumping pillow. Amenities we clean and the grounds are very well kept. Only downer is the sites are a little crowded, but that's true of many caravan parks. Excellent value for money with the winter special offer of $100 / week. We're glad we came here and enjoyed our stay.

Ran out of handwash in toilets 2 days ago ..loos not cleaned first thing.
Great for kids ..can play til late every night...lots for them to do.
If you like little bonfires you have delivered at your spot.
I would come back again. 😊

Amenities are great, but way too much dust and gravel for our liking. Seems to be a park suited for cabins not campers/caravaners. Some more grass would be lovely.

We enjoyed our stay at Merool in our caravan. It is a beautiful, expansive park. Staff were ever so friendly and helpful.
Sites are a decent size. Loved the fact fires were welcome. Cheap off-peak rates with the option to take up a late checkout of 6pm. There is no view of the river from the short term sites. Water, electricity and sullage placement was a bit tricky being on the opposite side of where vans are parked, (unless you happen to have the site with it directly beside/behind your van) so be sure you have plenty of hose length, etc, to run "across" your site. No shady trees around the powered caravan sites which I would want in a hot Echuca/Moama summer
Having said that, the pool looks wonderful and the sites placed so close could be a bonus.

Very large park, mostly cabins, but there are good sized slab sites gor caravans. Very good amenities but gor some reason missing a urinal in the mens? Free wifi which worked well during the off season.

Fantastic park to stay in, staff friendly at present rates for powered sites $20.00 per night, what a bargain. Camp fires allowed, good facilities, right on the river.

Enjoyed it here a lot. Cabin was impeccable.

Family of 4 aged from 16yrs to 44yrs. Stayed 5 nights in one of their riverside cottages/cabins. Very clean and comfortable. Spent our days sightseeing, exploring the surroundings, fishing on the Murray, wading in the pool and watching the local wildlife. Our nights were spent around the firepit located outside our cabin. An enjoyable time had by all. We're planning to return next year. Staff were very friendly and were respectful of our privacy as were other patrons on site. Shuttle buses to and from the local RSL and Sportsclub were very handy to allow us to enjoy a few beers without worrying about a sober driver for the night.
