Metro Mirage Hotel Newport

Worst experience!
It was really sad they way my we got treated during our stay at the metro mirage,
We had our wedding guest book their accommodation at the Metro Mirage in Newport, I was told to Pay $1000 holding fee that would be refunded in full once all the rooms were fulfilled this did not happen I had to fight for months to get my money back as all the staff had no idea what I was talking about even when I provided my bank statements showing that they took money out of my account.
Know one returned our calls and they took forever to respond to my emails and it was only that we had to contact our solicitors that we finally got a response and the money was refunded without an apology.
Parking was dreadful and also limited of space most of our guest had to park streets away from the hotel.
Overall experience was very sad.

Pros:
* Good view over Pittwater

Cons:
* Parking is impossible. Extremely limited tight parking. Forget it if you don't have a small car. Street parking is timed.
* Rooms are showing age and have a motel feel.
* Pool and outdoor spa open at 7am where the outdoor spa makes a really loud noise when switched on. When you are laying in bed in your room you can hear it quite loudly. It sounds like loud jittery static noise. If you are a light sleeper and want to sleep in, this is not ideal.

the view is fabulous and the food is yummy. 4 star hotel standards with 5 and 6 star friendly service. great for easy beach rustic sailing type weddings.

Rooms are old but neat and tidy. Cleaning staff need checklist to help. Left bottle of cleaning fluid in room. Forgot complimentary coffee and milk. Restaurant on level 4. Reception on level 3. Lifts are slow.

Great location. Rooms were clean, service was friendly, but unfortunately the hotel is let down by the lack of soundproofing. I was awake all night with sounds of other guests coming and going, using the bathroom and talking.

My visit included introverted combustion plus monochromatical physical endeavors that resulted in muscular loss of determination. My hat got lost in the wind. I forgot about my previous problems of the past without having to remember them. Thank you for the memories.

Its a nice hotel, but the rooms are a bit dated. The balcony view is stunning, but the breakfast is just ok. The staff is helpful and very friendly.

Its a good hotel and its worth staying here for a couple of nights.

Was there for a work conference. Good food, nice venue, helpful staff.

Such a beautiful hotel but the staff are beyond exceptional! So friendly, so accommodating and they made me feel right at home! I cannot recommend these guys more!
Also, ask Sonny for the cocktail menu! He's the best :P

. A nice hotel, fantastic location. Parking's a little tight and the hotel is due for an upgrade but nice enough.

Good position. A short drive to the beach. Usually quiet. Opposite The Arms. Lots of restaurants either at The Arms or a short drive down to Newport. Probably a 45 minute drive into the city.
