Minappi was created in 1989 by Rosemarie Lakiss-Smith shortly after the birth of her first child, Michael.

Rosie was struggling to get her husband, Roderick to change Michael's nappy.
At the time reusable nappies were very simple; a towel square with safety-pins as fastening.
"The pins are barbaric and I'm afraid I'll pin him" was always Rod's excuse.

Rosie couldn't let "bloody Rod" get away with such a lazy excuse!

"I'll show him" she thought - and she did!

Rose - ever so creative - used her pattern-making and design skills to create and invent the Minappi; the very first snappy-nappy!

The Minappi utilises the natural properties of cotton and towel, the-now iconic 'fitted shape' with quick-and-easy press studs as fastening.

Almost 30 years later, the Minappi continues to be proudly 100% Australian Made and Family Owned by Rosie, Rod and Michael and we would love for you to join our family - the Minappi family.
