Modern Narrabeen Chinese Restaurant

Ordered lunch around 12pm for pickup through EatNow, for some reason the app said it wont be ready before 6pm, I called to make sure they're preparing my order ASAP, which they approved and said food will be ready withing 20min.
When I came there 20min later they haven't started making the food for some reason, I had to wait another 15min.
Mistakes happen...if food was great I would have given 4 stars.
Food was ok, except for the Szechuan beef none of the dishes were exceptional or even above average.

Still, if you're in Narrabeen Lagoon it's a good option for a decent lunch.

We had one good experience at this restaurant, so we returned for takeaway. What a mistake! We will never return!!!

The food was okay, albeit expensive, but my treatment by the owner was horrible and completely unacceptable!!!

After buying $50 of food, I asked for a cup of water for my 2 year old son in the car. I was told I had to buy a bottle of water. I said I was happy to get some tap water in a cup, which they said would cost me 30 cents.

I thought that they'd forgotten that I'd just bought $50 of takeaway food from them, but they said that's what I must pay. I was stunned and said that this was a first for me, this was bad business, and I wouldn't return if I didn't get the water, so were they prepared to sacrifice a couple of cents on a cup for future profits. I asked to speak with the owner, only to be told by that the extremely rude man behind the counter who I was speaking to was the owner.

I then knew this was a lost cause, so I turned to leave. When I turned, I heard the owner (if it was him) yelling expletive laden language at me. I turned around and asked him to repeat the remarks to my face, but he stood behind his counter like a stunned mullet, saying nothing. But when I turned my back to walk out again, he again yelled expletives at me. Once more I turned and invited him to say this to my face, which again resulted in silence from him. I turned to leave again and received the same treatment! I then turned and informed him that I would be writing this post so that other people could learn how they treat their customers.

In summary, the food is okay, but I won't be back as a result of the absolutely appalling customer service that I received.

lovely service and really good, fresh food! fair prices, too. i had a very delicious duck and my partner had a fish in chili sauce, as a desert fried ice cream. all of that was great and definitely recommendable. we will be going back for sure.

Fish and Chips is nice as well as decent coffee. Ice cream for the kids. Maybe a bit pricey but its the only place within a long walk. Close by the lagoon and rock pool. Need to pay for parking.

Absolutely amazing food. Great variety in a great location. If you come here you will not regret it. ❤
