Monica Lima Cello Studio

Cello lessons for children and adults on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

I am a cellist, passionate about early childhood music education and the benefits of music in the development of the whole child.

I grew up in Brazil in a very musical family and have been playing music since I was nine years old. I have a special interest in traveling and have lived in different countries to further my studies.

In Spain, I had the opportunity to study at the Irun Music Conservatorium with a great teacher, Iñaki Etxepare, who taught me not just the cello technique but how important is our role as cello teachers for the young generations.

Since then, I have dedicated my life to teaching and have taken continuous training by the Suzuki Method in the United Kingdom, United States, Brazil, Peru and Australia.

I love to play and perform, and I am currently a cellist at the North Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

I believe in the power of music education to transform children´s lives and I am convinced that the world would be a better place if every single child had the opportunity to express themselves through music.
