Amazing place.. it's not a park or anything it's in grounds of a psychiatric hospital. My advice would be not to feed them as they might get aggressive with food in your hand and it's bit scary for little one's to see whole bunch of kangaroos approaching you. Beware of kangaroo poo everywhere.. π

An incredible place of beauty and history on the shores of Lake Macquarie with hundreds of Kangaroos around the grounds in the evening, awesome experience for children and open to the public.
Hey there
People need to be aware this place is not a wildlife park, it's a mental hospital where people who live there need to be kept in because there are plenty of tourists going there to see wallabies, giving them food which they are not used to eat as banana, candy or even mcdonalds!
Please if you really care about those people and animals that live there don't go there, don't encourage no one to go there. Better buy yourself a ticket for a zoo or a wildlife park
Cheers
Just 1 hour drive from Sydney where is wonderful wild kangaroo live place.
Please please don't feed any chips or snack.
I have seen a wallaby threw up after several Thai had given chips.
Good place to meet kangaroos.
Take carrots to feed them ππ
Please note: this is on the grounds of a hospital, aka private property. Be respectful and refrain from creating excessive noise, rubbish, etc so others can enjoy the experience. No facilities, no public toilets.
I must have saw upwards of 50 kangaroos. We were fortunate enough to go on a cool day (they rest during the heat), and feed them for 30+ minutes. Be sure to bring carrots, NOT BREAD. Such a great experience.
