Great venue, fantastic food, friendly staff. Challenging and enjoyable golf course that I'd fun for seasoned and beginner golfers.

It was a nice place with a good menu that has a nice range of vegetarian and healthy options. Lovely looking gardens but I was there for a quiz night and not to play golf.

In response to the review by Kelly Lees.
I feel it would have been more genuine of Kelly to disclose that she is in fact also Kelly Harwood, the wife of Jason Harwood, the club's recently terminated General Manager.

Kelly thinks it's ok to cast dispersion on those who have simply and diligently acted in the best interests of the clubs future and members.

Kelly cannot see that the board had no other alternative than to take action after Senior Management posted 2 consecutive years of record financial losses totaling in excess of $500,000 combined.

Ongoing losses like this is something no club can afford to continue.
I have studied the past 10 years of the clubs financials and I am also 30 years experienced as a marketing professional so feel I am in a fair position to comment soundly on these club related matters.

I fully support the boards decision based on the escalating financial losses returned under his business model.

Kelly also failed to reveal that Jason requested and received a very sizeable
financial sum upon termination of his role ensuring that her and her family would not be put under financial duress while Jason seeks new roles Knowing this I do not understand why Kelly feels it necessary to publicly air her emotional grievances in such a manner.

Considering the support and warmth the club has extended to Jason, Kelly and her family over the past decade I feel this is a graceless way for one to end a relationship with MVGC.

Kelly also failed to note that Jason's salary while GM was one of the highest paid GM roles in a country golf club in Australia and that the good faith and support granted him from the club, board and members was on the basis that he would deliver a healthy and positive financial future for the club.

I feel it would be best for all parties to move on very quickly and I stress very quietly...considering the simple point that the club felt it necessary to have a forensics computer specialist called in to get a clear understanding of club matters.

As a thought maybe the club should simply post its forensic findings here for all the public to review as Kelly has done.

In closing I also want to highlight a truly valuable staff member who deserves praise and acknowledgment before anyothers that have been terminated or mysteriously suddenly resigned.

This person is Ziggy!

He has always bent over backwards to help anyone that visits the club and nothing is too big or too small for him to look after.
How Ziggy has put up with the bullying, intimidation, rudeness, disregard, demeaning behaviour, demotions and destructive manner over the past years amazes me. He has shown true resilience and intestinal fortitude still fronts up each day with a smile for all.

Why is he treated this way when he is truly loyal to the club?

Was it because he was the only staff member prepared to speak up about questionable management decisions and actions?

Why should the one person who embodies the true heart and spirit of the club be mistreated like this?

It is high time that the current board reversed this travesty and reappoint Ziggy as the Club Supervisor now if it is serious about turning this club back around from here.

I am greatly concerned that if the club/board does not secure him quickly they run the risk of losing the clubs greatest assets.

Surely the current GM and Current Board have had plenty of time to address and sort this out with Ziggy now, its been a month since the past GM left and his situation has been ongoing for years …just because he is honest, loyal and patient doesn't mean he shouldn't be given highest priority or focus! Does It?
