Moving Pictures Description
Often enough the question of background and qualification come up when inquiring 'about' a person or organisation; and rightfully so. These issues will be dealt with respectively.
Raised in the African wilderness, Leonidas' passion for the arts came at an early age from his warm and lively surroundings coupled with the colourful personalities he grew up with and around.
Officially, he began drawing out of an interest to replicate the detail he couldn't describe in words. As life would so graciously have it, he grew up and pursued a University degree. Although not focusing on the arts, his interests led him to keep the subject as a part of his BA studies, albeit it being as an accompanying Minor to the Major during his University studies in London.
The minor consisted of Art, Design, and Media:
Dealing with the concepts of art, design, and media and importantly in the interfaces between them, this addition to his studies offered a wide range of theory directly applicable in practice, specifically in the fields of the graphic design and film industries.
The topics covered included Introduction to Drawing, the Language of Art, Video Production, From Script to Screen, and Pixel Playground.
These didn't stop his pursuit for knowledge in film, often signing up and attending seminars and masterclasses by the likes of Raindance for instance, dabbling in the industry, looking for an avenue to dive in.
Official qualifications aside, Leonidas considers himself self-taught; as no matter what you are shown in life, it is your choice to pick it up or throw yourself in it to learn all about it.
Art is a form of expression and relaxation, guaranteed to be different in the eye of the beholder as well as the person yielding the tools to create it. The expression awards Leonidas the opportunity to create, to feel alive beyond the body's allowance.
