Today was a coats on, coats off kind of day around Magical Mudgee. Dianne and Fritz jumped on board for the morning. We enjoyed a look around Mudgee and some of our heritage buildings before heading out of town to savor some wine, honey and produce tastings.
Then Denise and her friends joined me for an afternoon of fun at four of our cellar doors, before finishing up with some very sweet tastings at The Honey Haven 🐝.
... Once again, fantastic service from our local businesses, and beautiful people on my Explorer bus 🚌.

What a fantastic start to Spring on the Mudgee Explorer bus today. My morning was showing an adorable Scottish couple around our region with some highlights being cellar door dog "Suzie" at Manfields and pet lambs "cutlets" and "lamb chops" at Mudgee Wines. We were joined by a further 2 couples from Coffs Harbour and Sydney and a family of five from the Hunter region for the afternoon. I don't think I've laughed so much for a long time with everyone enjoying the wines and many stories and banter between us all. Another wonderful day spent with wonderful people.

Full day tour with these compardres, and what a wonderful way to spend the first day of spring! Dakota and her crew came together to celebrate Dakotas birthday, and Tom and Sarah are back for a second bite of the cherry after falling in love with Mudgee last year. We had a blast, and the crew really enjoyed the tasting from our first stop at Mansfield Wines to our last stop at Robert Stein and all those in between! Heslop wines was an all round favourite and even my co-pilot Roby, our non wine drinker enjoyed the offerings. The Olive Nest was fabulous too- amazing olives and wine. Thanks for exploring with me guys it was such a pleasure to meet you all!

A great morning spent with great people! As we travelled around Mudgee’s beautiful wine region sipping and laughing whilst learning all we could about the Mudgee Region, The character of the wine and the process that goes into producing quality wine in our area. We all hope too see you in the area in the future 😊

Perfect timing! Going bush is fantastic the day after rain. Everything was alive when I hit Ferntree Gully with Ida and Carina yesterday. It’s hard to capture the beauty of this place in a photo. There are bird sounds, fresh smells, soft moss to touch, and fresh air in our lungs. And bright yellow wattle lining the roads on our drive to and from. Magic!

We had a wonderful warm afternoon today exploring Mudgee’s beautiful wine Region, with a lovely couple visiting from Sydney. Thank you for coming along ☺️

Today I was joined by mother and daughter duo Ida and Karina, who included Mudgee as part of their country sightseeing getaway, and Bev and Lou who are celebrating 39 years of marriage. These awesome four just loved the experience and the tastings at each and every winery we visited. The country hospitality and delicious wines makes for smiles all round. Short Sheep was a favourite for Bev and Lou for both the wine as well as Tony’s conversation and stories about the Short ...Sheep and starting the winery. Slow Fox was a standout for Karina and Ida but all in all, it was agreed that every single winery was truely enjoyed - this was evident by the ever growing number of boxes in the boot! Robert Oatley next then, then Mudgee Wines for lunch. It was lovely for my guests to kick back, relax and enjoy a delicious meal while chatting together. We visited Rosby Wines as our last stop this afternoon and we were so lucky - the rain stopped right in time to stroll around the sculptures in the garden while enjoying a delicious tasting, and then held off until both couples had time to unload their haul from the back of the (chockablock full) bus, but then started up again once everyone was tucked up warm and cosy in their accommodations. Perfect! It was such a fabulous day with wonderful guests, thank you explorers it really was a pleasure to meet you all

How do you fit 3 birthday parties and a school reunion into just one day? Here’s how.... bring them all along on a minibus to Mudgee Wineries, and combine all your celebrations into one! Oh yes, and we were celebrating RAIN, too!!! Had a fab day yesterday with some of my own personal school buddies, and some new friends who joined us. Thanks so much for coming, everyone. I really enjoyed your company.

Saturday split tour! It was a wonderful day with these guys yesterday! Everyone hopped on board with a smile, and no one was bothered in the slightest about the beautiful rain falling all day! Vinefera, Blue Wren, Heslop and Mudgee Wines were definite favourites for the day, but each and every stop was enjoyed. Thanks for joining me Explorers - you guys rock!

Luckily for the three of us Thursday bought back the sun and it was a gorgeous day in Mudgee town. We visited Robert Steins, Short Sheep and then over to lunch at Moothi to soak up the sun on the deck. We called into Vinifera and the Distillery. And the perfect ending spent with Chaz & Jacki at Gooree. The weather had everyone in a great mood which made for a slow, easy and wonderful day.

Wednesday and a gorgeous morning spent with my lovely couple from Cronulla. We visited Short Sheep and the gorgeous lambs, Peterson’s Winery, Vinifera and the crew at Baker Williams Distillery then over to First Ridge for a wonderful tasting. Thank you both for a wonderful day.

Tuesday was a rather cool day, but myself and my two tourers spent the day visiting the historical sites and museums in Gulgong, had lunch at a cute cafe, visited Honey Haven and all bought some goodies. My guests preferred not to be photographed, but were so excited to see our little piece of paradise.

Sunday sipping and sightseeing - and then a smattering of snow to end to a perfect day! My guests Donna and Neil are from Canberra and agreed, I wasn’t seeing things - there really was a few snow flakes dancing over the streets of Mudgee! We explored the many flavours of Mudgee today, Italian style wine at First Ridge, Shrubs at the Tasting House where the flavour creations and conversation made for a really enjoyable experience. Burrundulla Wines next - yum! Off Moothi for... Lunch looking across the Mudgee Valley. Peterson’s Wines where we got in touch with wine AND nature watching Veronica hand feed the wildlife, Baker Williams Distillery Lemon Myrtle (among others!) delighted both! Vinefera Organic Wines and Heslop tasting Cottage also on the afternoon Agenda. Thank you both for joining me to explore Mudgee! Until next time x It seems like we had a busy non stop day, but it was actually pretty relaxing and just the right pace for a Mudgee Sunday
