Mudgee Rc Model Club.

We are a club that enjoys all aspects of the rc hobby, aircraft, drones, Helicopters, boats, cars and off road buggies. We run on sundays from 9 am.

Founded approximately 20 years ago somewhere near Mount Frome before being relocated to the TSR near Goree, the Mudgee Model Aircraft has been an important safe-haven whether it be for local or visiting aeromodellers and spectators. It is easy to be bitten by the r /c plane bug as the co-creator of this very page was inspired between the ages of 4 and 7 after being taught to do a loop. Visitors are encouraged and most welcome. Come and be part of this unique hobby! PS: There is a good chance you'll see some exciting dramas (eg deadstick landings, wheel dramas, bouncy landings and the dreaded total smash)

Note: to fly you must be insured. This is especially important due to the multi-million dollar race horses at Goree plus the Castlereagh Highway and power-lines adjacent to the field that might ruin your bank account in the event of a crash. Our members are insured with AMAS which was established in 2012 to compete with the MAAA who were monopolistic rip-off merchants. Adults can join the club for $66 + $30 donation to the club = $96 (previously $150 with the MAAA) and junior members can join for $33 + $30 donation to club = $63 (previously $90 with the MAAA) Donations to the club are purely for petrol money and club expenditure.

Come along to the Model Aircraft Airfield on the Castlereagh Highway near the Bellinfante Bridge every Sunday (weather permitting) to fly or spectate. The best part is: ADMISSION IS FREE.
Everyone is welcome to come along, watch and be enthralled by some spectacular aerobatic displays by some talented model aviators.

Club membership is $30. 00 per year and flying members are required to have insurance which costs $33. 00 for persons under 18 and $66. 00 for adults. "
