Huge portion, nice beer and juicy pork are the attracting features. But the skin of pork schnitzel is too hard to chew. Well, actually the skin was not crispy at all in my opinion. And my boyfriend put a great effort to cut the meat down ( luckily he was there, I don’t have the strength to cut it). Also the space between tables are tiny, and can be very noisy that we had to yell at each other.

Great craft beer, especially for the happy hour. Waiter at the bar was awesome. At first, I sat outside and the waitress came off a bit rude, which is the only downgrade to 4 stars. If you're looking just to drink, head on in to the bar. Great atmosphere

If you're out for Bavarian food, you're better off going down to your local pub for a Schnitty. The standards of this bar and restaurant have continued to fall since my first visit in 2007. The introduction of their own beer brand as 'Bavarian style' is an insult to Bavarian breweries. Every time they attempt to cost cut further the quality decreases. It's only good for the Asian tourists that fill the place on a weekend. If you want to eat authentic Bavarian/German food, head to the Rhinedorf restaurant in Beverly Hills.

After reading the reviews, I became skeptical of this place, but I decided to take a visit nonetheless. Surprisingly, the quality of the food that I ordered (veal& truffle sausage, crispy pork knuckle) was quite good and the mango beer was excellent. The staffs were also very friendly, and I suggest going to this place for late night dinner or snack.

Very joyful and vibrant atmosphere provided by the live band. Portions were huge, one platter apparently 'designed for two' fed 4 of us. Beers were excellent but it was quite pricey and it added up quite quickly. The food was very good, with a hearty serving of pork belly cooked to perfection with a side of apple compote, assorted sausages, schnitzel with gravy. However, pork knuckle which was too fatty my taste.

It's good but not great as their Billboard just outside The Rocks will lead you to believe that the portions are huge. I ordered pork sausages with sauerkraut and gravy at $25 and to wash it down I ordered a 1 litre of dark wheat beer ($25). Both tasted fine but the size of the sausages was small (they were the size of breakfast sausages). My wife's meal of chicken in lettuce cups was good but we definitely needed the side dish of chips to fill us up. Service was good (Wednesday lunchtime), there is a choice to sit outside or if windy you can sit either inside the restaurant or in enclosed glass screened off area. Pro - service was good for us, Con - portion size was poor and didn't match the claim on the Billboard.

This place is wonderful, the atmosphere is joyful, staff attentive and food is simply amazing. It's selection of German beers and foods were wonderful, my girlfriend and I went on multiple occasions to eat here. The only thing that holds it back is pricing, it would be great if there are more options for cheaper meal deals. Other than that, if you have the money to spend you'll definitely get what you paid for.
Also the beer is great, I don't normally drink but the stuff that's served is brilliant.

It is pretty much what you expect. It lives up to a city Center german restaurant experience. If you are vegetarian you might want to reconsider, for anyone else, dig in.
Needless to say, they have beer.

Good venue for large groups, food is pricey for what it is but beer steins make for a good night out

We definitely would skip this place if we had the chance to do it all over. We were overwhelmingly disappointed by our experience here. They were out of too many of the build your own salad ingredients, and the tortellini my husband got was pretty nasty (as was the bottle of Prosecco we ordered). The sausages I got were tasty, but I'd expect them to be at a German-inspired restaurant. At the end, they asked us for a tip, which was off-putting, and felt like them taking advantage of the American tourists.
