Muskoka Farm Pty Ltd Description

Muskoka Farm
Muskoka Farm, named after the famous and very beautiful resort area and Lakes District just north of Toronto in Canada, was purchased by Bob Lapointe in 1969 as a family retreat and is situated on the Hawkesbury River within 100km of Sydney.

The dream to convert what was a blank canvas into a state of the art Thoroughbred Training, pre Training and Spelling business became a reality over the next 40 years. Lapointe and partners' horses broken in and educated on the farm have won in excess of 770 races including more than 75 Group and Listed races.

The 280 acre property has 5 stable barns consisting of 58 stables, 63 individually fenced spelling yards, 27 day yards for horses in work and 10 large fully fenced paddocks for horses to run free.

The horses are trained on a 2400m crusher dust track with an 800m straight and a 2000m grass track for pace work. Horses in work on the property can also enjoy a swim in the lap pool, walking on the 16 horse walker, trail riding on the 2 km dressed mountain track or working on a high speed treadmill.

There is continual upgrading and maintenance of all facilities in order to provide a calm and happy environment essential for quality care of the Thoroughbred Racehorse.
