Mustafa'S Kebab House & Cafe

Kebabs are great. Was entertaining dinning in and watching people order. I had read previous reviews about the owner being called a "pig". I found him to be direct but he has his system for taking orders and it works well. Even had a laugh with him. I recommend this place for a great meal and a bit of a giggle.

Excellent service, excellent food. Handmade icecream and Turkish delight with lots of flavours.

Best kebabs in the Hunter. They make their own hummus which is absolutely delicious. Awesome selection of kebab fillings, sweets and icy drinks.

I previously had a brief review here but I'm updating it with a bit more detail after seeing other reviews with a similar sentiment.

I'd like to like this kebab shop, the food is almost always delicious and fresh (apart from one time I received uncooked chicken, but at least it was quality uncooked chicken) but this place has one big problem: a very very rude owner.

I'd like to recount two examples of this rude behaviour. The first is when I inquired if he was selling halal snack packs. He spent 5 minutes ranting at me about how "disgusting and unhealthy" they were when all I wanted was a yes or no, not a ranting opinion when I could have been ordering his "healthy" kebabs instead. I had someone waiting in the car outside and it only added to their time waiting.

The second was what he said to my mother. This pig ordered her to the back of the line loudly complaining because he didn't want to give change for a $50 note. You don't order customers away for giving you money.

Take from this what you want. If you can put up with potentially feeling insulted or offended then you'll probably get a decent kebab.

The kebabs are delicious.! My only complaint is they don't do hot chips :(

Surly service, expensive beyond even Sydney prices, grubby tables. Will never return.

Mustafa's is a family favourite!! Great food and very friendly service. Delicious home made lemonade!
