Myer Wollongong (Permanently Closed)

It's gone what good is my Myers card now

A brief discription of what happened before going to Myer Wollongong today. My daughter and I bought a pair of jeans each from Jag. When we got the jeans home we realised that they had left the security tag on my daughters pair and that my pair were one size to small. Unfortunatley shortly after that all the Jag stores closed in Sydney. We then got on line did our home work and found that the only Jag store left was in Wollongong. My daughter got up early this morning and drove the hour and a half to get her tag removed and to exchange my jeans. The lady in store told her they couldnt exchange the jeans as they were not purchased from that store. My daughter then put me on the phone and i asked to speak to the manager. The store manager MIchelle told me that they would not exchange the size as the jeans were not purchased in her store. She also told me if I owned the buissness I would do the same thing. I said to MIchelle that there was no loss in exchanging the Jeans, they stock the product, they would have the same product brand knew which she could check. Just a different size, no loss for anyone. She said she still wouldnt do it. She told me to sell the jeans on line and purchase another pair from her. (Why would I do that) i want the jeans just a different size, so simple. I asked her to speak to another manager, she replied there isnt another i am incharge. I then said to her you asked me what I would do if it was my buissness I am asking you what would you do if you were in my stituation. She then said I no longer wish to talk to you and hung up. It seems to me that you are representing Jag by selling there products so weather I actually purchased the Jeans from Jag or you guys shouldnt make a difference in changing the size and that all I wanted. Not a different pair or my money back. Just some common curtesy understanding of the situation. Shops are wondering why more and more people are shopping on line. Heres your answer, on line I could have just sent them back and got a different size.

The lady who served me wasn't to pleased with having to wait whilst the kids picked out one of the toys that were on the counter. There was no one behind us and she wasn't doing anything

Gone downhill. Too expensive for the area. Hardly any staff at the counters. Cut down selection of goods. Go to Sydney cbd if you want to experience shopping at Myer.
