Its been an exceptional week for Jun Chen—QLD's sole finalist in the 2018 Archibald Prize. Chen was a key artist in Shapiro's, "Ray Hughes A Life with Art" auction on Monday. This work "Field" 2008. Oil on canvas, 136.5x160cm, sold for $32,000 (inc. BP) against estimates of $18,000-24,000.

Very poor customer service. Account manager stopped returning my calls after I told him I needed to liquidate some works. In my experience the valuations at purchase do not reflect realistic value of works when trying to sell them. Have been a client for over 8 years.

i started investing in artwork to be leased out to corporate business and was very happy for the first two years untill the contract ran out and the art pieces have been sitting idle ever since. So if you want ongoing rental income do not touch them as i am very disappointed at the present

Have enjoyed many exhibition opening nights at Nanda\Hobbs with quality contemporary art for sale. It's always capped off with an introduction to the art and artist with a spirited talk by Ralph Hobbs or one or their distinguished guests. The crew run a professional gallery - which is well worth a visit.
