Red Bull Flugtag was back in Sydney today, challenging 36 brave and brainy to design, build and pilot home-made flying machines off a 6 metre high platform in the hopes of soaring into the skies, today's event had a crowd of 17,000+ at Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair in Sydney Harbour.
Since the first Red Bull Flugtag took place in Vienna, Austria in 1992, over 150 Red Bull Flugtag events have been held around the globe, in 35 cities. The world record for the longest flight was 78.6 metres, occurring 2013 in Long Beach, California, USA.
