🐑 🐄 🐑Help Us Help the Farmers!🐑🐄🐑
As you know, parts of Australia are in the grips of one of the worst droughts in decades. Even though there’s been a little bit of rain in the past couple of weeks, the farmers and animals are still struggling big time.
We want to help make a difference and we would love if you could help us do this.
... Through September we will be joining the “buy a bale” campaign, and will selling “bales” of hay to put on our waiting room wall, with your name on it.
Costs will be $5.00 for a small bale, $10.00 for a medium bale, and $20 for a large bale.
Or, donate through this link.
Please help us help the farmers! Thankyou so much!

💜We so so love this!💜
Not only is this video clip super cute, but it displays skills that are very important in the development of communication skills: - observing - imitating ... - turn taking - eye contact
These skills develop very early in a child’s life, and are so easily taught through play.
🌟Show your toddlers over the weekend and encourage them to do the same.🌟
Enjoy your weekend:)

📚📚📚In addition to Speech Pathology Week it’s also Book Week!📚📚📚
We’ve loved seeing some of our kids come in dressed as their favourite character.
Reading is so important for babies and young children! It helps your child get to know sounds, words and language, and develop early literacy skills. It sparks your child's imagination and stimulates curiosity. It also helps your child's brain, social skills and communication skills develop.
... Enjoy book week, but please remember, keep on reading!!

Speech Pathology Week 2018 is just a few days away. The theme this year is:
🌟Communication access is communication for all!🌟
What does communication access mean to you? Can you imagine not being able to communicate?
... Did you know that around 1.2 million people in Australia have a communication disability? Ensuring communication accessibility for these Australians means that they are treated with dignity and respect.
People with communication difficulties communicate with others using a variety of means, including sign language, gesture, spelling and using communication boards or electronic devices.
Speech Pathologists are trained to help adults and children of all ages to achieve the fundamental right of communication.
Stay tuned with us next week as we celebrate speech pathology awareness week!

🌟🌟🌟NEWSFLASH!! 🌟🌟🌟
We are taking bookings for our October school holidays “Being Social” social skills group!🌟🌟🌟
Our fun speechies and OTs constantly continue to search for innovative ways to further improve our Social Skills groups, and have prepared an💥amazing💥 “Social Thinking” program to help your children:
... 🔸become flexible in their behaviour and thinking 🔸become flexible thinkers in different social situations 🔸develop an understanding of hidden rules in social situations 🔸work as a team when creating games and activities 🔸learn that problems come in different sizes and our reactions should match the size of the problem (small problem = small reaction)! 🔸learn about the zones of regulation and expected/unexpected behaviours. 🔸learn about emotions and how to regulate these emotions using tools in their box of calm 🔸develop a shared imagination with others by imagining what the other person is thinking, feeling or pretending.
And we guarantee that whilst your kids are learning these skills, they will be having a lot of fun and making new friends!
Please see the brochure attached for more information about the groups.
💥💥💥Contact our office as soon as possible as numbers are limited!! We love being social, and want your children to be as well! :)💥💥💥
