Great small library with very helpful staff

This is a nice quiet library and it's great for kids but the stuff aren't very caring and are quite rude

Super nice and super comfy especially the attic but the wi-fi is sooo slow it drives me crazy..

Nice local library with good amount of books for the size it is. Free membership for residents of the City of Sydney.

Sadly libraries are a dying breed and Newtown Library, whilst small, is still very much fit for purpose. GREAT kids selection, free WiFi and a really fantastic upstairs amphitheatre section for quiet reading that overlooks the library. Never had a problem with the staff who have always been friendly to me. If you can't find what you're looking for then you can order through City of Sydney and pick up from Newtown so looks are a little deceiving as long as you don't need the book instantly
