About Nexgen Codecamp
Nexgen Codecamp is all about inspiring high school students to have a go at coding. We create a 2D game, sumobots that battle and design web pages from scratch in a 2 or 3 day format.
Nexgen Codecamp Description
The Nexgen Codecamp facebook page is the information portal for all the activity of nexgencodecamp.com. au, a coding camp for teenagers.
At present, we operate during school holiday time in Sydney. We run a single course that teaches Years 7-12 how to program Javascript by creating a 2D game. The course is either 2 or 3 days.
We are realists and to that end we realise that we will not churn out programmers in 3 days! Our goal is to inspire our students and give them an entry point into the world of programming so that they can go away and learn some more themselves.
In 2017, we are adding to our courses by adding a Level 2 Games course, a Robotics course and a Web Development course. Hopefully this will inspire more girls (as well as boys! ) into coding and widen the net of interest!
