To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Normanhurst Boys high School. The education is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the lessons will go over a typical student’s head. There’s also Big Ando’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The Students understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these lessons, to realise that they’re not just educational- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Normanhurst Boys High School truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Big Ando’s existential catchphrase “White socks only,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Big Ando’s genius wit unfolds itself in their classrooms. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Normanhurst Boys High School tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

Speaking as a student, i don't think many kids really care what the principal or teachers say. Of course there are those students who actually respect the teacher and listen to them, which is good, but then you have kids who block the footpath, take seats on trains and are loud on buses. Of course, im not saying that our school should be perfect, but still...

Step 1
Place the couscous in a large bowl. Place the stock and 1 tablespoon olive oil in a saucepan, bring to just boiling point, then pour over the couscous. Cover and set aside for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Fluff couscous with a fork and season with salt and pepper. When couscous is completely cold, stir in the cucumber, onion, capsicum, tomato and parsley.
Step 3
In a separate small bowl, combine the remaining olive oil, the lemon juice and hummus, add to the couscous and stir until well combined.

Step 1
Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Grease a 6.5cm-deep, 20cm (base) round cake pan. Line with baking paper. Using an electric mixer, beat butter, sugar and coconut essence until fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
Step 2
Sift half the flour and half the cocoa over butter mixture. Add half the coconut. Stir to combine. Add half the milk. Stir to combine. Repeat with remaining flour, cocoa, coconut and milk. Spoon into prepared pan. Smooth top. Bake for 55 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. Stand in pan for 10 minutes. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool.
Step 3
Make Chocolate buttercream: Place butter and chocolate in a glass or ceramic bowl over a saucepan of simmering water. Stir until smooth. Cool to room temperature. Beat mixture with a wooden spoon until thick and spreadable.
Step 4
Using a serrated knife, cut cake in half crossways. Place bottom of cake on a plate. Spread with one-third of buttercream. Sandwich with cake top. Spread remaining buttercream over top and side of cake. Serve with cream.
