North Rocks Tennis Club

Social mixed tennis club for those who like to play competitive tennis.

North Rocks Tennis Club Inc is a social tennis club based at North Rocks Park on the corner of North Rocks Road and Farnell Avenue, North Rocks. It has two rooms with facilities for afternoon or morning tea and access on site to the local soccer club’s large meeting rooms for social events. Barbeque facilities are also available in the areas around the courts.
The club has been established for over 50 years and has kept the idea of social tennis played with a good friendly spirit and occasional banter since its beginnings. The club suits members who can’t commit to a weekly competition but enjoy a good standard of tennis. Currently we have over 40 players.
On Saturday afternoons mixed doubles tennis of a good intermediate or higher standard is played on 4 synthetic grass courts. On Wednesday mornings we have a ladies group who play doubles to a good intermediate standard on 2 synthetic grass courts
The number of courts available and the hours we can play mean that on Saturdays, members and guests can play as many sets as they like, but the usual number is between 2 and 6.
The Playing Standards Committee seeks to ensure that both the club and potential new members feel comfortable with each other, both from the social and the playing standard perspective. With this in mind potential new members are asked to come and play for a minimum of three times.
We are always happy to welcome those interested in becoming new members.
