Northern Sydney Symphonic Wind Ensemble - Nsswe
About Northern Sydney Symphonic Wind Ensemble - Nsswe
NSSWE is an ensemble-based musical extension program for primary, secondary and tertiary students across the Northern Sydney region. It draws students from both public and independent schools who play woodwind, brass or percussion instruments.
Northern Sydney Symphonic Wind Ensemble - Nsswe Description
The Northern Sydney Symphonic Wind Ensemble (NSSWE) program was established by Artistic Director Patrick Brennan in early 2010, as an extension program for student musicians in the Northern Sydney region who play woodwind, brass or percussion in their school band programs. It is designed to complement and enhance the band programs offered in schools, by challenging those students who have gained a high degree of proficiency playing an instrument in their school bands.
The program provides students with the opportunity to perform a musical repertoire of a very high standard, to develop their musical skills and talent under the direction of highly qualified directors and conductors, and to share their love of music with the broader community.
