Hi, I don’t often provide feedback but I was absolutely appalled with the cleanliness of my room and lack of service.



Regarding the cleanliness of my room:

- there was a burnt outline of an ‘iron’ on the couch

- next to this burn there was a white stain which was about the size of a 50 cent piece.

- the room was very dim and it wasn’t until I opened the blinds in the morning that There was a massive (at least 1 metre) red stain in the carpet next to the bed. Without being dramatic it looked like a pool of blood had stained the carpet.

- one of the towels I had opened up to find it was dirty - there was a black blemish.



Regarding the service:

I went to order a coffee from the bar - the barista did not acknowledge me nor the 5 other people waiting to order. It was about 5 mins after I arrived at the bar that he glanced at me where I then requested I would like a coffee. I waited for another couple of mins for the coffee but then went to sit at my table which was within sights of the barista. Over the next 20 mins I walked up to the bar 3 times to check if my coffee was ready but it wasn’t on the bar and the barista didn’t acknowledge me. After 25 mins I went up to the bar still not acknowledged I asked for my coffee - he said it has been ready and I had disappeared. I requested a new coffee and because that one was cold and that took another 15 mins.



I brought my concerns to the front desk upon checkout and they said nothing could be done and said that the rooms are being renovated in April - that does not excuse the lack of cleanliness and the lack of service.



I was at the Novotel for a work conference and I will be definitely feeding back to my company not to use the Novotel in the future for further work ventures.



You should be ashamed claiming that you are a 5-star hotel !!!!

Great hotel and location is a walkway to the Pier. Nice decor in the lobby areas. Hotel has a lavish restaurant and lounge also has a coffee shop available for quick take aways. Internet equipped, very modern hotel.

Food - absolutely addictive 5/5 nothing wrong
Service (staff) - ALL Staff are very well trained and are good communicators. 5/5
Rooms - furniture etc in them absolutely no complaints. As for how clean they were, dust and hair in many places, could be much better 3/5
Service (other) - gym and pools were pretty good 4/5.
Location is very very good.

Located on Darling Harbour the hotel offers beautiful views of Sydney. The room was very well kept and good value for money. The bar and restaurant had a good selection of food and drinks, giving you a great start before you explore the city. Service was fantastic, every staff member I met was friendly, informative and eager to make our stay special. Thank you!

Had work social event at The Ternary. Decor was lovely, service was fine, food/canapes were delicious. However we were placed in an awkward middle room with doors opened to the general dining area and the open air balcony area, which was not a problem and in fact really cool when no one else was around. Later on, this meant strangers from both sides were able to wander in - which isn't anything to worry about until you have a crowd of hungry strangers thinking your canapes are available to everyone.

When i booked online for 2 adults and 3 children only 2 children came up. I then phoned and was told the system is not set up to show 3 children. On arrival while walking from our car to the entrance, we were approached by an attendant who took our bags from us and carried them in We were very grateful, especially as we had a younger child with us. We were early and were told we would get a phone call when the room was ready, but that didn't happen. The room had 5 towels but only 2 facecloths, and the single bed was not made up. On our way out I asked to have it made up. I was told it would be taken care of and also more facecloths would be put in room. After dinner we found the bed still not made up, no extra facecloths but 5 more towels in our room. I again asked for the bed to be made up for the 3rd child, when the staff member arrived he said our beds were already made up, again I explained, then he went away and got more bed linen and returned and made the bed. The bath had been repaired and had a patch in the base, not what I expected in an Executive Suite. Most of the staff were very nice and helpful, it was just difficult a couple of times to have them understand what I wanted, both for our room and at breakfast. It is such a good position and we have stayed there several times, but the standard needs to be kept up.

Quick service at the reception. Very comfortable room. Convenient location. Best breakfast I have ever seen at hotels. Good parking. Remarkable experience!

Had the opportunity to stay here with my husband and our 4 kids. Just a mini break in the city. Staff made us feel welcome. Easy parking and check in. We were upgraded to the premium room which was a grateful surprise we needed the space. Our room was amazing. Traveling with so many children you sometimes worry about how they will behave. if the hotel is family friendly. .we definitely made the right choice here. Great spacious rooms, great location , delicious buffet breakfast. This hotel will now be our number one hotel when we go back to the city. Given the opportunity I would not hesitate to book again.

We were pleasantly welcomed by hotel staff right from the entrance by the concierge and check in counter. The Ternary restaurant was excellent. Throughout our stay we felt very comfortable with the atmosphere and the friendly staff. The room was also a good size for a city hotel. I found the bed a bit too soft, but that is just a personal preference. I would certainly recommend friends and colleague to stay at the Novotel Darling Harbour when they visit Sydney and want to be close to activities.

Our flight arrived early in the morning so we were at the hotel Much before check in time but we're allowed to check in immediately, which was fantastic as we were very tired.

We also asked for a late check out as had Evening flight, they agreed for extra 2 hours (for no extra charge) and told us if we stayed later than that we would be charged A$20- per hour which was perfect.

Easy check in check out, all the staff very professional and very helpful.

The location was close by to darling Barbour easy access to all the restaurants, attractions and shopping.

Breakfast was good but got a bit boring as same stuff everyday, a change would have been good.

Over all excellent would definitely recommend specially if traveling with kids.

Reasonable room. Best to try for a room away from the centre core area as it can be noisy into the evening and early mornings. Comfortable bed and clean. Good location for local restaurants and a smaller sized shopping centre(no supermarket) very close. Great views in the restaurant and bar area.

We found the Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. The Hotel was very clean, fresh and inviting, We especially liked the the lovely fresh smell throughout the hotel. The Bar/Restaurant, where well situated and there was adequate seating for all without feeling on top of each other. Our room was lovely and had a lovely look onto Darling Harbour. Easy access to Darling Harbour shopping mall and attractions and off course to public transport.

We were greeted like royalty, treated during our stay amazing , very well presented, clean and awesome location.
We loved the breakfast, the staff there were very obliging and friendly and made the experience just amazing.
Our room was very spacious and the outlook amazing over Darling Harbour, the city night lights just has that romantic feel.
Location is fantastic, easy to get where ever you needed to go.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Novotel Darling Harbour! The wait staff were fantastic! We were made feel very welcome and nothing was too difficult. The food at The Ternary was exquisite; so impressed were we that we didn't bother looking anywhere else for dinner each night. The housekeeping staff were also marvelous, very friendly and welcoming. We left with fond memories of our stay and a commitment to return to the Novotel Darling Harbour the next time we visit Sydney.
