Nsw Biodiversity Conservation Trust

The NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust has two major functions:
To support and encourage landholders to enter into agreements to protect biodiversity on private land and to seek strategic biodiversity offsets to compensate for the loss of biodiversity.

The NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT) is a new organisation currently in its establishment phase over the next six months. The Trust will initially continue the private land conservation functions of the Office of Environment and Heritage and the Nature Conservation Trust. The BCT will also have staff across regional offices to help support and work with regional landholders, communities, customers and stakeholders. We are currently establishing our offices and will provide more information soon.
